Who Is Dietz Ziechmann?

I've been fascinated with modern military history, psychology, etc.  at least since reading Correlli Barnett's classic book The Desert Generals (1961), an imperfect masterwork that has caused me to very carefully keep evaluating my social values (and those of others) ever since. (My maternal grandmother Hilda von Zedlitz, was a cousin, at various removes, of the leaders of the Western Allies in WWII: FDR, Winston Spencer-Churchill, Mountbatten, MacArthur, George VI. (Did I leave anyone out?) We have very deep roots in Britain, as well as on the (European) Continent (France, Italy, Germany, Russia) and Israel.

I have striven to produce and share a little piece on Alec Hugh Gatehouse, Royal Tanks leader, sometime general, sometimes not, who in the words of the immortal bard, "suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous (mis)fortune", (Hamlet, Act III, i, 47). I was not aware of the fiddling around with Gatehouse's rank status until reading about it in Swedish chronicler Steen Ammentorf's chronology. published at his website, I suspect fewer people visit the website than read and collect books, but I could be mistaken. At any rate, I believe Gatehouse deserves full posthumous recognition

I studied Chinese medicine (in English) with Dr. Susan Deng, while a patient and through my own research (for my own benefit)
