THIS TIME NEXT WEEKBy Dee
|
This time next week
my palms will be damp and sweating
anticipating my trip to New York
loving, wanting and betting
that this will be a trip of all time. This time next week
I'll be packing my bag
selecting lingerie, jewelry
and comfortable clothes
to look nice, yet save time
so I can spend all my time with you. This time next week
I'll retire to my bed early
trying to make the night go quickly
so that I'll be ready for my trip
to see my brother and lover.
I'll count the hours
until my trip begins
heading into my lover's hands. This time next week
my heart will be pounding
in anticipation and love abounding
I'll watch as the miles go by
until the darkness falls
When I awaken, I'll be there
where my lover calls.I love you, my darling
and soon I'll be near
This passion we share
Will finally be clear.
I'm counting down days
and this time next week
and 18 hours, I'll finally be there.3-12-97
