Prayer to the million named God

Lord,
Make Thy erring children
Of an accord.
O, million nam'ed God as Thou art One
So be it we.

Creator God, Thou stood
Upon the deeps
And shaped Thy worlds
From Thy celestial keeps,
And Thou didst crown Thy Plan.

From Thine own Glory
Created Thou man;
Put forth Thy hand
And from the primordial mud
Called Ye Adam
To shepherd Thy wonders
And be keeper of Thy makings.

And now Creator God,
Jehovah, Allah,
Thy children are upon divergent ways,
They have chosen for themselves
Their several callings,
Christian, Muslim, Jew -
Jehovah, Allah, Creator God of All
Make straight their crooked paths
And bring them home to You.
